Autograph letter (1 p.; 7 June 1862) signed by Archibald Broun, informing his surviving children that their brother, First Lieutenant James H. Brown, had been killed at the Battle of Seven Pines (Fair Oaks, Va.); together with an autograph letter signed (2 p.; undated, copied in Archibald Broun's hand) of a letter received from Capt. Robert M. Sands concerning the younger Broun's death.
